Mr. John Batte rsby, FCInstCES, FGIS, FASI, FCIOB, FHKICM, MRICS, MHKIS, FCMI, FCIArb, FHK IArb, MAE, RPS(QS) is Group Managing Director of BKAsiaPacific Limited and a Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor (Hong Kong) and Chartered Const ruction Manager having worked in the construction industry for 54 years, 38 years of which have been spent working on projects in Hong Kong, China and South East Asia. John has acted as an expert witness several times, both i n arbitration and litigation, in respect of additional cost/loss and expens e/damages claims, measurement issues, adjustment of rates, valuation of var iations and causes and effects of delays to construction works. He has act ed both as party appointed expert and “single joint expert” (or “tribunal e xpert”). He is a Practising Member of the Academy of Experts and accredite d by the Academy as an Expert. He has also been appointed as Arbitrator, A ssessor, Adjudicator, Mediator and Dispute Resolution Advisor several times . Leng Sun is a
Senior Counsel of the Supreme Court of Singapore and a Chartered Arbitrator
practicing with Duxton Hill Chambers. He is a member of the Singapore Inte
rnational Arbitration Centre Court of Arbitration and the ICC Commission on
Arbitration and ADR. He is formerly the Global Head of Arbitration of an i
nternational law firm and President of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrato
rs (SIArb). He is the Deputy Chairman of the SGX Appeals Board. Leng Sun is qualified in Malaysia, Singapore and Eng
land. He has a broad commercial practice and has acted as counsel or sat as
arbitrator in arbitrations seated in Asia, Europe and USA under ad hoc and
institutional rules. Leng Sun had also served as a legal officer of the Un
ited Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva. Leng Sun was a lecturer at the National University of Singapore Law
School from 1990 to 1993. He started and taught the Arbitration course in t
he Singapore Management University Law School as an adjunct in 2009 and 201
0. Leng Sun is the author of the book, Singapore Law on Arbitral Awards and

Graham obtained his first degree in Materials Technology from Coventry Polytechnic and his Masters degree in Advanced Materials Technology from the University of Sur rey. He has been a Chartered Engineer since 1991 and is a Professional Memb er of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining. After graduation, he spent 10 years with British Aerospace where he was primarily involved wi th materials development, manufacturing support and aircraft defect investi gation. He went on to work for British Airways in 1995 as their company met allurgist and defect investigation specialist before joining Burgoynes in 1 998. Graham has investigated over 500 mechanical and materials related case s including aircraft accidents and incidents, marine accidents and losses, road traffic accidents, rail accidents, oil and gas production and pipeline incidents, industrial process plant incidents and power generation turbine failures. He has previously worked in Singapore and has undertaken investi gations in the UK, Ireland, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Far East and Australia. He has acted as an Expert Witness and Single Joint Expert in li tigation cases and has given expert evidence in civil and criminal court ca ses, arbitrations and mediations. Graham joined our Leeds office as a Princ ipal Associate in August 2014, and is now based in our office in Singapore.
